Job summary

Leavitt Family Jewish Home, part of JGS Lifecare Corporation, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care and support to residents on-site. The role includes assisting with daily activities, mobility, and documentation to support the nursing team.

Responsibilities include helping residents with ADLs, monitoring changes in health, encouraging activity, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Must hold MA CNA certification and communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL support (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals).
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive well‑being.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation and mobility equipment for safety.
• Encourage participation in recreational, social and therapeutic activities.
• Respond to resident needs, answer call lights, and maintain a safe environment.

• Make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives by providing compassionate, hands-on support with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Build meaningful connections with residents while observing and reporting changes in their physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being and supporting the nursing team with accurate documentation.
• Help residents stay active, comfortable, and independent by assisting with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility equipment while promoting safety and fall prevention.
• Create positive experiences for residents by encouraging participation in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote connection, independence, and quality of life.
• Be a trusted and caring presence throughout the shift by responding to residents' needs, answering call lights promptly, and helping maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment.

Qualifications for Success:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the MA state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
