Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Hospital CNA with experience preferred to assist RNs in daily patient care within a busy hospital setting.

You will document vitals in the EMR, participate in admissions and discharges, and help with rounds, positioning, and transfers while maintaining infection prevention standards. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required or equivalent.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per state registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, ambulation and positioning.
• Document vitals and data in EMR; participate in admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Perform rounding, respond to call lights, and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Support nutrition, skin care, and device management per care plan.
• Coordinate tests and treatments with other departments and manage charting.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and proper hand hygiene.
• Provide excellent customer relations and professional communication with patients and families.
