Sapphire Nursing at Meadow Hill in Newburgh, NY seeks enthusiastic CNAs for all shifts to join a dedicated staff. Sign-on bonus up to $600, paid in quarterly installments after 90 days. Under supervision, CNAs provide direct nursing care and assist with residents’ personal and comfort needs.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
