Job summary

Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen in Goshen, NY has immediate openings for enthusiastic CNAs to join our Day Shift Team. We offer a $600 sign-on bonus (paid in quarterly installments after successful completion of the initial 90-day probation) and a full benefits package.

Under supervised professional guidance, CNAs provide direct nursing care to residents and assist with personal care and comfort needs. We look forward to meeting you to discuss opportunities at our facility.

Qualifications

• Current NY CNA Certification.
• Previous Long Term Care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
