Job summary

Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to work across facilities in Michigan, providing compassionate personal care, daily living assistance, and collaborative patient care with RNs and other staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Active CNA certification in Michigan.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Care for personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities.
• Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs and aides to deliver patient care.
• Assist with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, blood glucose, and document changes.
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care or equipment.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals
• Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs and aides to deliver excellent patient care
• Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment

A few must-haves for CNAs:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Michigan
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
