HomeWell Senior Care, Inc. in Gary, Indiana is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our team and provide one-on-one in-home care for seniors who wish to age in place.

You will work with clients individually, offering social companionship and daily living support, including meal planning, reminders, transportation, and personal care, while upholding our values of empathy and integrity.

Competenze

• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull approximately 25 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of care services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
