Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Level II Technician in the Irving, TX area. The role focuses on field observation, testing soil, concrete, grout, mortar and asphalt, with emphasis on accurate reporting and safety.

Requirements include 1 year CMT experience and certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I and ICC Soils Special Inspector, plus portable nuclear gauge training. Night shifts and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months CMT experience or related field.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification is required.
• ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification is required.
• Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Training Certification must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document field tests and inspections on site.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports detailing testing activities.
• Document non-conforming items to project supervision.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment per safety standards.
• Operate and maintain a nuclear density gauge according to Radiation Safety Program.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Assist with asphalt placement monitoring where required.
• Travel daily to sites within approximately 100 miles of the home office.
