Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Savannah. No experience is required; you’ll be trained to observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites under supervision.

We emphasize safety, data collection, and communication with site teams. Obtain CMT knowledge and certifications as you grow with the company; OSHA 10 and related programs may be provided or encouraged.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites; execute tasks under guidance of senior technicians and project managers.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following standards and testing methods.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling and test results; assist with calculations and admin duties as requested.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers; report changes in site conditions and testing needs.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision.
