Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Orlando team. No experience is required; you'll learn under experienced professionals and receive paid training with certification fees covered.

Responsibilities include field observation, testing of soils, aggregates and concrete, data collection, and coordination with project managers. A high school diploma or GED is required, with OSHA-10 potentially needed.

Qualifications

• No experience is required for this role.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all laws and company policies.
• Willing to learn heavy construction safety practices and CMT principles.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect, calculate, and reduce data from tests and sampling.
• Maintain clear communication with site contractors and project managers; arrange field equipment as needed.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies and document findings accurately.
