Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Houston is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No experience is required as you will learn under experienced professionals and receive paid training.

You will conduct field observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, and you will work toward certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety as you progress. Safety, teamwork, and on‑site collaboration with contractors define this role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM lab standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on sites.
• Conduct routine field and/or lab tests per industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting/administration.
• Maintain site communications with contractors and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies and document findings precisely.
