Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to administer medications to residents under nursing guidance and to provide supportive daily care. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maintain resident independence and dignity while observing for adverse drug effects and documenting in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Prior experience with direct care preferred.
• Basic computer skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under nursing direction.
• Provides medical and physical care to meet daily needs.
• Assists residents with personal care and maintains dignity.
• Observes residents and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in resident care/service planning to improve quality of life.
• Assists with meals or feeding as needed.
• Builds relationships with residents and families.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activities and decisions.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Follows HIPAA, safety procedures, and EverTrue policies.
