Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to administer medications and provide direct resident care per individualized plans. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes safety, documentation, and effective communication with physicians, families, and supervisors.

The CMT will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, assist with insulin (if certified), and participate in restorative care while promoting resident

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• CPR or BLS certification preferred; insulin certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution according to an individualized plan of care.
• Observe residents and communicate condition changes to physicians and supervisors; provide timely interventions.
• Document observations, incidents, interventions, and daily medication administration.
• Maintain accurate MAR documentation and narcotic counts; ensure timely documentation by staff.
• Assist residents with ADLs and ambulation; support nutrition and hydration needs.
• Promote safety, fall prevention, and resident independence; participate in staff training and mentoring.
