Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to administer medications and provide direct resident care under the Director of Nursing. You will support activities of daily living, promote safety, and ensure accurate documentation of care and medication delivery in a resident-centered environment.

The role requires state-certified medication aide/technician certification, CPR/BLS, and insulin familiarity.

Qualifications

• State-certified medication aide/technician required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution following an individualized plan of care.
• Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians, supervisors and health care proxies.
• Document observations, interventions and daily medication administration accurately.
• Pass information to the next shift and ensure timely documentation by staff to maintain quality care.
• Monitor vital signs and glucose levels as assigned and document results.
• Administer medications per five rights and document accordingly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and nutrition/hydration needs.
• Promote safety, comfort, and independence while supporting restorative nursing techniques.
• Participate in training and orientation for new staff and assist with coaching of aides.
