Job summary

Broadcom’s Wireless Semiconductor Division in Fort Collins, CO seeks a CMP Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and assure CMP processes within a high-volume wafer fab. You will collaborate across Equipment, Industrial Engineering, R&D, and external vendors to meet manufacturing and technology development needs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Eng, Mechanical Eng, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing; CMP experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining an established process and monitoring inline data to drive yield and quality.

Responsibilities

• Sustain daily CMP operations by monitoring SPC charts and addressing tool issues.
• Investigate and fix defects, scrap, and issues using root-cause analysis in a PDCA framework.
• Develop, characterize, and optimize CMP processes to enable NPI and improve wafer yield and device performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Process Technician teams, and vendors on process changes.
• Qualify new tools and recipes via rigorous process qualification plans, evaluating impact on cost, throughput, and capacity.
• Partner with integration, yield, procurement, and other teams on continuous improvement projects.
• Document procedures for Operators and tool users to ensure correct equipment operation.
