Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations, maintain data quality, and govern configuration management activities across enterprise IT. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and service management teams to ensure accurate configuration data supports incident, change, and problem management processes.

The role requires 4–7 years of CMDB/ITSM experience, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/business.
• 4–7 years in configuration management, service management or IT operations.
• ITIL-aligned configuration management concepts and integration with incident/change/problem.
• Experience with enterprise ITSM/CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMDB day-to-day operations and CI lifecycle management.
• Analyze discovery feeds and change records to fix data quality.
• Plan configuration audits and oversee remediation with owning teams.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools for queries, reports, and dashboards.
• Ensure records are linked to CIs for traceability and reporting.
• Develop governance, standards, and training to sustain data integrity.
• Contribute to CMDB plans and ITIL-aligned procedures.
