Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations and governance. You will own day-to-day and strategic CMDB activities, ensuring data completeness, trust, and usability for IT decision-making across enterprise infrastructure, applications, and services.

In this role, you will collaborate with operations, engineering, and service management to ensure configuration practices support stable and compliant IT service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in configuration management, service management, or IT operations roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL-aligned service asset and configuration management concepts.
• Experience using enterprise ITSM/CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow to maintain CIs and build reports.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance, US citizenship required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations by establishing and enforcing CI processes.
• Analyze discovery feeds and change records to reconcile data discrepancies.
• Plan and execute CMDB audits and certifications and oversee remediation.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools to build queries, reports, and dashboards.
• Ensure change, incident, and problem records are linked to CIs for traceability.
• Define and report CMDB data quality metrics and governance.
• Contribute to configuration management plans aligning with ITIL and policies.
