Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB management across enterprise IT services. You will own day-to-day CMDB operations, enforce CI lifecycle, and ensure data accuracy for informed decision-making.

The role collaborates with operations, engineering, and service management to implement ITIL-aligned processes, conduct audits, and deliver dashboards that support risk assessment and impact analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, CS, business, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in configuration management, service management, or related IT operations roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations by establishing and enforcing processes to create, update, and retire configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.
• Analyze discovery feeds, manual updates, and change records to reconcile data discrepancies and drive corrective actions for CMDB completeness and accuracy.
• Plan and execute configuration audits and certifications, compare CMDB data to actual inventories, and oversee remediation with owning teams.
• Configure and use ITSM/CMDB tools to build queries, reports, and dashboards supporting impact analysis and risk assessment.
