Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations and governance within a regulatory federal IT environment. You will manage CI lifecycles, reconcile data, and drive audits, using ITSM/CMDB tools to inform incident, change, and problem management decisions.

The role requires 4–7 years in CMDB/data quality activities, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, CS, business or related field.
• 4–7 years in configuration management or IT operations with CMDB experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL-aligned service asset/configuration concepts and related processes.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM/CMDB platforms for CI management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations and manage CI lifecycles.
• Audit discovery feeds and change records to ensure data accuracy.
• Plan and execute CMDB audits and certifications with owning teams.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools to build reports and dashboards for analysis.
• Ensure alignment of change, incident, and problem records with CIs.
• Monitor CMDB data quality metrics and drive governance improvements.
• Contribute to CMDB plans, procedures, and training per ITIL practices.
