Job summary

Hertford Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Hertford, NC is hiring a part-time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer oral and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following physician orders and facility policy.

The CMA will perform routine tasks to maintain residents' health, comfort, and well-being, using the computer system to document and communicate changes and observations.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification and perform duties under supervision.
• Administer medications per physician orders and facility policy.
• Record medication administration accurately in resident charts.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Notifies licensed staff when a resident reports pain.
• Takes and records vital signs as assigned.
• Records medication administration and treatments in the computer system.
• Responds to resident call lights and anticipates needs.
• Observes and reports any reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse.
• Performs resident care tasks to promote safety and well-being.
• Supports safety and quality culture.
• Administers PRN medications per policy.
• Reports changes in resident condition as appropriate.
