Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training to lead operations across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience, developing talent and upholding GOLD standards.

You’ll work with the Club Manager on staffing, scheduling, safety, and member service, with ServSafe certification required and forklift license possible; training provided. This role prepares you for one of the three senior tracks and offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse ops management.
• Strong leadership, staff development, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership with club manager guidance.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management.
• Champion member experience standards (GAA, GOLD).
• Ensure compliance, safety, and audits.
• Lead department talent management and training.
