Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training to lead departments, drive performance, and develop talent. You will oversee daily operations, partner with the Club Manager, and ensure policy compliance, food safety, and excellent member experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with certification responsibilities (ServSafe, forklift) as applicable. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• ServSafe certification required and must be maintained.
• Forklift operator certification and safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned areas (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members to ensure capability and engagement.
• Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and compliance to meet budgeted targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management for your departments.
• Uphold BJ’s GOLD standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and service levels across teams.
