Excel Fitness in Texas is seeking a Club Operations leader to guide a busy fitness club. You will mentor the team, manage budgets, and drive member engagement while upholding Excel Core Values and Planet Fitness standards.

The role requires coordinating with regional leadership, maintaining certifications, and ensuring smooth daily operations across shifts. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six (6) months of equivalent management experience required.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, develop, and supervise the work of others.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements, and KPI metrics.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate the next generation of leaders by identifying strengths and training opportunities for Team Players.
• Lead the AM in planning strategies to attract and keep members.
• Ensure staff are proficient in Planet Fitness app, tablet, and POS operations.
• Keep staff up to date on certifications, trainings, plans, and updates.
• Manage club budget and ensure profitability.
• Oversee and inspire Team Players to perform their best.
• Conduct Team Player Assessments and competency evaluations.
• Communicate with members and maintain high-level member service.
• Create job postings, interview, hire, and train new hires.
• Coach and document with performance management as needed.
• Collaborate with RM/Sr GM/AM/HR on counseling and actions.
• Perform daily club walkthroughs and ensure cleanliness and service standards.
• Lead meetings on policies, procedures and culture.
