Job summary

Excel Fitness in Poquoson, VA seeks an experienced Club Operations Leader to manage Team Players, budgets, and standards. You'll oversee critical functions, train staff, and ensure optimal member service in a fast-paced fitness environment.

You will coach, assess, and develop leaders while collaborating with regional management to meet Excel Core Values and performance metrics. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of equivalent management experience required.
• CPR/AED certification required; training provided if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and supervise others.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, and KPI metrics; strong Excel/Word/Data tools.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate the next generation of leaders by identifying training needs and aligning goals with Excel career paths.
• Lead the AM in planning strategies to attract and retain members based on Excel Core Values.
• Ensure staff are proficient with Planet Fitness app, tablet, POS, and related systems.
• Monitor certifications, trainings, marketing plans, and operational updates to stay in compliance.
• Oversee budgeting and ensure profitability; manage expenses within approved limits.
• Conduct team member assessments and document performance; coach and give feedback.
• Collaborate with RM/Sr GM, AM, HR on counseling and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain club operations: daily walkthroughs, coverage, and adherence to policies.
