Job summary

Excel Fitness in Dallas, TX is seeking a dynamic Club Operations Manager to oversee daily gym operations, lead up to 20 Team Players, and drive member satisfaction while ensuring profitability.

This role partners with RM/Sr GM/AM/HR to coach staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and promote Excel Core Values; requires strong leadership, reliability, and proficiency in MS Excel and wellness industry standards. Standard hours apply with potential evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six (6) months of equivalent management experience required; prior experience as an Assistant Manager with Excel Fitness preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required; training offered within first 30 days if not certified.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, develop, and supervise the work of others.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, vision, and culture, KPI metrics, and Planet Fitness brand standards.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
• Ability to manage sensitive information and handle difficult situations proactively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; DataTrak; Workday; Service Channel.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate the next generation of leaders by identifying strengths and training opportunities.
• Lead the Assistant Manager in planning strategies to attract and keep members.
• Ensure staff proficiency with mobile app, POS, and tablet operations.
• Maintain certifications, trainings, and promotions schedules.
• Manage club budget and ensure profitable operations.
• Oversee and inspire Team Players to perform at their best.
• Conduct Team Player Assessments and competency evaluations.
• Collaborate with RM/Sr GM and Facilities on maintenance and remodels.
• Prepare for potential future GM roles through mentoring and delegation.
