Excel Fitness in Farmers Branch, TX is seeking a Club Operations Manager to assist the General Manager in planning and executing strategies to attract and retain members while upholding our core values and delivering world-class service.

You will oversee hiring, training, scheduling, payroll verification, KPI tracking, inventory, and promotions. This full-time role requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to a positive club culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required. Uncertified Team Players will be given the opportunity to complete CPR/AED training within the first 30 days of employment.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise the work of others.
• Familiar with Excel mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements
• Demonstrated the ability, confidence, and leadership to manage a team.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team oriented, motivated, and well organized.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
• Must have the ability to handle difficult situations and deal with sensitive and highly confidential information.
• Basic understanding in Microsoft Excel and Word; DataTrak; Workday; Service Channel; and other related applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in planning strategies to attract and keep members while upholding Excel Core Values and a positive culture.
• Oversee hiring process, from candidate selection to interviewing and onboarding documentation.
• Train and develop new team members.
• Ensure all Team Players stay current on certifications and required training.
• Counsel and discipline team members; supervise, motivate and coach staff.
• Support GM in monitoring KPI goals and metrics for the club.
• Maintain a clean facility and outstanding member service; perform inspections.
• Manage club inventory and coordinate orders with GM and HQ.
• Assist GM with marketing and promotional activities for the club.
• Create club schedules and verify payroll items and commissions as applicable.
• Enforce company policies; report major infractions to GM and HR.
• Audit club inventory and advise on ordering recommendations.
• Assist GM with Team Player Assessments and competency evaluations.
• Be available off shift as a direct contact for field operations or emergencies.
• On-call during Peak Season/Sale Expirations as needed.
• Oversee club operations when GM is away and represent the company at events.
• Lead regularly scheduled team meetings and coordinate with management.
