Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Club Manager to lead operations and profitability of the club, delivering on strategic priorities and ensuring an excellent member experience.

You will manage team members, develop talent, and create a safe, positive environment for both staff and members. Onboarding for new Club Managers lasts 8–12 weeks, pairing you with seasoned leaders to learn best practices, connect leadership concepts to BJ’s scenarios, and build internal connections.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be able to lead and motivate a large team.
• Solid understanding of profit & loss statements, shrink control, merchandising, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution.
• High school diploma and/or college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the club team with vision and direction and validate results.
• Create a club culture where team members are challenged and recognized.
• Manage talent and develop a strong bench with accountability and feedback.
• Communicate clearly to enable teams to perform their jobs.
• Make decisions aligned with strategic priorities and drive profitability.
• Monitor expenses and achieve planned profit objectives.
• Oversee warehouse management and coordinate with Home Office.
