Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Club Manager to lead operations, profitability, and member experience at a BJ’s club. You will manage team members, deliver on strategic priorities, and ensure a safe, positive environment for Members and Staff.

The Club Manager will onboard and develop talent, communicate effectively, maintain cost controls, and uphold BJ’s core values. Open shift availability is required and 18+ years of age is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Strong drive for results and solid work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a large team.
• Solid understanding of profit & loss, shrink control, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution.

• Leads the team with vision, direction, and measurable results.
• Creates a club culture where team members are challenged and recognized for accomplishments.
• Manages talent and builds a strong bench, developing team members and providing feedback.
• Learns quickly and adapts to change, communicating clearly the why’s and keep messaging simple.
• Maintains awareness of local competition and trends in retail to guide decisions.
• Controls operating costs and establishes efficiencies to maximize profitability.
• Attains planned sales through supervision of warehouse management and interaction with Home Office.
