Job summary

Excel Fitness seeks a proactive Club Operations leader to supervise Team Players and support the Regional Manager. The role focuses on coaching, staffing, budgeting, and ensuring high member service standards within the club. You will mentor staff toward future GM roles and ensure adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities include budget control, staff development, and collaboration with RM/Sr GM, AM, and HR for coaching and corrective actions, while maintaining Excel Core Values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of equivalent management experience; prior Excel Fitness AM experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required; training provided if uncertified.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and supervise others.
• Familiar with Excel Fitness mission, Planet Fitness brand, KPI metrics.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
• Proficient in Excel and related applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train Team Players; develop leaders.
• Plan strategies with AM to attract and retain members.
• Ensure staff proficient with app, POS, and tablets.
• Maintain certifications and trainings; implement promotions.
• Monitor KPIs and budget; ensure profitability.
• Oversee up to 20 Team Players; conduct assessments.
• Hire, train, and mentor new staff; conduct counseling.
