Taymax Group in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee club operations and deliver a welcoming, high-energy member experience. You will work with the Club Manager to build a positive team atmosphere as well as a financially successful club.

The role involves recruiting, training, scheduling, payroll support, and maintaining exceptional customer service at front desk and across the club. A passion for health and fitness is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma/GED.
• One year of customer service experience preferably in a similar gym or retail environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic, and a passion for health and fitness.
• Strong customer service and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and must have own reliable means of transportation.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff to cover all shifts.
• Ensure staff provides exceptional customer service at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Assist in payroll processing as needed.
• Provide backup support for staff absence.
• Lead by example with front desk involvement.
• Greet members and guests; provide exceptional service.
• Answer phones and assist callers with questions.
• Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities.
• Facilitate member requests and resolve issues.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the club.
• Keep front desk and lobby clean and orderly.
• Ensure safety by reporting needed repairs to management.
