Job summary

Houston Fitness Partners, a Planet Fitness franchisee, seeks an Assistant Club Manager to lead a high‑performing front desk team, recruit and train staff, and uphold a welcoming, member‑focused environment.

This on‑site role requires hosting duties, handling member requests, ensuring opening/closing, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies. Compensation is hourly at $17.65, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified prior to gaining employment and maintain your certification while employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff.
• Lead by example and maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Resolve member concerns in a fair and equitable manner.
• Assist with staff management and reporting, inventory, and other duties as needed.
• Assist in administering and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Handle front desk tasks including answering phones, member check-in, and new member sign-up.
• Ensure opening/closing of gym following proper protocols.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility and safety of staff and members.
• Work at any Planet Fitness location within Houston Fitness Partners franchise.
