Job summary

Houston Fitness Partners is seeking an Assistant Club Manager for our Planet Fitness locations in Houston. This hourly role pays $17.65 per hour and requires leading a friendly team to deliver excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Previous experience at Planet Fitness is a plus.
• Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff comprising Member Service Representatives, Overnight Member Services Representatives, and Fitness Instructors.
• Lead by example and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests while ensuring staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Resolve member concerns in a fair and equitable manner.
• Assist with staff management and provide support to Club Manager with reporting, inventory, and other duties.
• Assist in administering and enforcing company policies with staff and members.
• Handle front desk activities including answering phones, assisting members, checking in, and sign-ups.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of the gym following proper protocols.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and daily cleaning tasks.
