Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a Unit Director to lead daily operations, ensure safety, and drive program outcomes. You will recruit, train, and retain leaders and volunteers while managing facilities and resources to support youth development.

The role requires strategic planning, strong HR practices, crisis management, and collaboration with senior leadership to advance the organization's mission. A BS/BA and relevant field experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field from an accredited higher education institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club, School Age Child Care Facility, or similar organization at a professional level.
• Level III Administrator status and at least 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting.
• Must complete BSAC training within three months of employment.
• Must complete CPR/First Aid training within three months of employment.
• Must complete Playground Safety Training within three months of employment.
• Must submit three professional references.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and enforces the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Plans for safe, engaging programs that achieve outcomes and serve youth.
• Optimizes club facilities and resources to support mission and growth.
• Supervises staff and volunteers; conducts regular leader meetings and performance feedback.
• Monitors budgets, expenditures, and grant deliverables; ensures compliance.
• Oversees risk, operations, and compliance across facilities and programs.
