Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain seeks an Area Director to oversee operations and program compliance for designated Clubs in Wayne and Greene counties. Lead Leaders, volunteers, and staff to deliver high-quality youth programs with a focus on safety, development, and engagement.

Responsibilities include budgeting, facility management, and community relations, ensuring program excellence and adherence to grant requirements while supporting staff development across multiple clubs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit management and supervision.
• BSAC training must be completed within three months of employment.
• Provide three professional references.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications required or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Valid State Driver’s License; eligible to drive Club vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to assigned units, Directors and Youth Development Professionals.
• Ensure effective operation and delivery of programs within the Club and community.
• Counsel, coach, and discipline unit staff and engage with parents and members as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and attractive club properties and equipment.
• Oversee financial resources and budgeting for Club operations.
• Foster partnerships and communicate with Advisory Council and community organizations.
• Travel within the region to support site coordination and program delivery.
