Job summary

24 Hour Fitness USA, LLC is seeking a General Manager in San Jose, CA to drive membership growth, revenue, and operational excellence. You will lead a high-performing team, deliver an exceptional member experience, and consistently exceed sales targets.

You’ll recruit, coach, and develop staff, foster a welcoming club environment, and build community relationships while ensuring safety, budget control, and adherence to company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of management experience in retail/hospitality/fitness.
• 2-4 years of progressive management supervising 3-10+ employees.
• Ability to inspire and lead teams with a strong service culture.
• Deliver high-quality member and team member experiences in a high-performance environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire; Personal Training certification within 90 days; degree may satisfy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to drive membership sales, fitness, retail, and other revenue streams, exceeding targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team with a one-team mindset.
• Provide ongoing coaching and leadership with clear objectives and accountability.
• Foster a welcoming, community-focused club environment to engage members.
• Oversee day-to-day club operations, including maintenance and cleanliness.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability within policies.
• Ensure safety protocols and health regulations are followed.
• Build relationships within the local community and represent the club at events.
• Develop and execute member retention programs and incentives.
• Promote policy compliance and standards across the team.
