24 Hour Fitness is seeking a General Manager in San Diego to lead a club, drive membership sales, and maximize revenues while delivering an exceptional member experience. You will supervise a high-performing team, maintain operational standards, and promote a positive, community-focused environment.

The role emphasizes coaching, accountability, and strategic execution to meet ambitious targets and ensure safety, service excellence, and policy compliance across daily operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years management in retail/hospitality/fitness with proven success.
• 2-4 years supervising 3-10+ employees with measurable development.
• Ability to lead teams with service culture and accountability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days; certification in Personal Training within 90 days.
• Prefer degree in Business Admin, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership sales, fitness revenue, and other income streams to exceed targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team with a one-team mindset.
• Provide coaching and leadership with clear objectives and accountability.
• Foster welcoming, community-focused club environment to engage members.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure health compliance.
• Engage with local community and represent the gym at events.
• Develop member retention programs and incentives.
• Ensure policy compliance and standards across the club.
• Maintain club hours aligned with peak business.
