Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Maryland is seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, and operate large-scale cloud services for government workloads, leveraging EC2 and DevOps practices.

You will join a team building some of the world’s largest distributed systems and contribute to automation and tooling across AWS GovCloud regions. You will work with talented engineers across isolated AWS regions, focusing on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Experience with automating and simplifying team development, test, and operations processes
• 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Identify ways to improve tools, processes, and documentation for customers.
• Learn site reliability engineering fundamentals and tune alarms that catch real problems.
• Collaborate with systems developers and engineers across isolated AWS regions and GovCloud.
