Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks a Systems Development Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure for government workloads.

You will work closely with AWS AIS and U.S. Government customers to implement secure, reliable solutions, driving technical issues to resolution and improving customer experience. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development.
• 2+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals.
• Experience in multiple modern programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Solid foundation in Linux and networking fundamentals with hands-on administration and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems; lead deep-dive troubleshooting and post-mortem discussions to identify root causes.
• Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure to provide a highly-available and resilient platform.
