Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Systems Development Engineer to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and operate some of the world’s largest distributed systems from Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Solid foundation in Linux and networking fundamentals; administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems at scale.
• Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure to provide a highly-available platform.
• Lead deep-dive troubleshooting and post-mortem discussions to identify root causes and improve customer experience.
