Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking top engineers to design, develop, and operate the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure for government customers. You will work on the EC2 platform and GovCloud regions, applying Agile and DevOps practices to build scalable, secure systems.

Basic Qualifications include a CS degree, 4+ years in software development, and TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. Strong coding skills in modern languages and experience with Linux/Unix are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Identify ways to improve tools, processes, and documentation, while working with highly motivated teams across AWS regions.
• Apply site reliability engineering practices to write code that reduces complexity and improves service stability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to on-call rotations and incident response.
