Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Cloud team to support USTRANSCOM at Scott AFB in Illinois. The role focuses on cloud migration, security, and scalable architectures to modernize DoD infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have DoD Secret clearance, IAT III certs, and hands-on AWS/Azure experience with Terraform, GitLab, and container tech. On-site work Monday–Friday with potential after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with cloud architectures and DoD policies.
• Hands-on with Terraform, CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for cloud solution architectures and migration projects.
• Plan, design, and manage cloud environments with focus on security, scalability, and resiliency.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
