Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a highly capable System Development Engineer for the RAPP ADC team to help implement and operate large-scale, distributed systems across the world's largest cloud infrastructure. You will focus on Route 53 and Perimeter Protection, driving automation, reliability, and operational excellence in collaboration with security and network teams.

You will work on air-gapped regions, manage systems, and build software-based solutions to improve monitoring and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP required.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services provide 100% uptime SLA.
• Deploy software and troubleshoot to minimize human interventions through automation such as infrastructure as code and operator tools.
• Develop and monitor systems in air-gapped regions and build software-based solutions to improve management and monitoring of systems.
• Identify and resolve operational concerns, escalate when needed, and drive reliability improvements.
