Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for the AWS RAPP ADC team in the US.

The role focuses on operating and scaling Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services, building automation, and delivering highly available cloud solutions with a strict emphasis on security and reliability. Ideal candidates will have Linux, networking, and cloud services knowledge, plus programming in multiple languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) is required.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services maintain 100% uptime through software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Identify defects and systemic patterns; investigate operational concerns and mitigate or escalate as needed.
• Break down defined projects into milestones and feedback loops to guide implementation and improve availability.
