Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking engineers to join the RAPP ADC team to build and operate the world's largest cloud infrastructure for U.S. Government agencies. You will contribute to scalable, secure services with a focus on automation and reliability.

You'll tackle complex operational challenges, monitor systems, and engineer software solutions to simplify management at scale. This role is based in Herndon, VA, with cutting-edge projects and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Ensure Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services are able to offer customers a 100% uptime SLA through automation and troubleshooting.
• On a day-to-day basis, manage and monitor systems in air-gapped regions and build software-based solutions to improve management and monitoring.
• Break down projects, define milestones, and identify when implementations are not highly available or have defects.
