Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement SAN architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a major federal agency. The role requires designing, deploying, and maintaining storage configurations, replication, disaster recovery, and security.

You will produce standards, documentation, and implementation processes; ensure 24/7 uptime and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; Gov Cloud and hybrid cloud experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or eight years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC products (OneFS, Unity, Isilon, Data Domain, RecoverPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SAN infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environments and creates enterprise storage solutions.
• Produces standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery.
• Performs storage capacity planning and utilization reporting; troubleshoots complex SAN issues.
• Maintains private cloud environments and supports Gov Cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
