Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and implement a full-scale SAN architecture for an EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a large federal agency. The role requires developing standards, configurations, and processes for storage optimization, replication, security, and disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate will help maintain 24/7/365 uptime, architect private cloud environments, and work with Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or eight years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC products: OneFS, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain, RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SAN infrastructure.
• Defines and sets a strategic direction for the SAN and backup environment.
• Designs and implements storage requirements into enterprise solutions.
• Provides storage and backup capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Produces standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, storage security, and disaster recovery.
• Maintains 24/7/365 uptime of SAN infrastructure.
