Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement a San architecture for an EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The role includes creating standards, processes, and documentation for storage configuration, optimization, replication, and security in a fast-paced environment.

Expected to contribute to 24/7/365 uptime, design private cloud environments, and work with Gov Cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, with a focus on security and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or other relevant discipline.
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Significant, direct experience with Dell EMC products (OneFS, MDS SAN switches, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain) and RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SAN infrastructure across multi-enterprise, complex environments.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
• Designs and implements customer storage requirements into enterprise solutions.
• Provides storage and backup capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Produces standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, security, and DR.
