Job summary

CGS is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement EMC-based SAN architecture for a large federal agency. The role focuses on performance, replication, backup, security, and disaster recovery within a complex, multi-enterprise environment.

The candidate will define standards, design enterprise solutions, and ensure 24/7/365 uptime while supporting private cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience; eight years may substitute for degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC storage products and SAN infrastructure.
• Experience supporting government/cloud environments (Gov Cloud) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SANs.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environment.
• Designs enterprise storage solutions and deployment plans.
• Storage capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Produces standards for storage configuration, optimization, replication, security, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoots complex SAN issues and coordinates with internal/external customers.
• Maintains 24/7/365 uptime and participates in maintenance projects.
• Architects and maintains private cloud with Gov Cloud/hybrid cloud experience.
