Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and implement a large EMC-based SAN for a federal agency, ensuring availability and secure storage. The role focuses on standards, configuration, optimization, replication, and disaster recovery with Gov Cloud and hybrid cloud experience valued.

You will contribute to documentation, capacity planning, and 24/7 uptime within a collaborative government-focused team.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in CS, business, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience may substitute for degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC storage products (OneFS, Unity, Isilon, Data Domain, RecoverPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based storage infra.
• Defines strategy for SAN and backup environments and ensures 24/7 uptime.
• Designs enterprise storage solutions and documents standards for config, replication, and security.
• Performs capacity planning and utilization reporting for storage assets.
• Maintains private cloud and Gov Cloud/hybrid cloud architectures as needed.
• Supports security tasks including patching, vulnerability review, and audits.
