Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement full-scale SAN architecture for an EMC-based infrastructure supporting a large federal agency. The role emphasizes performance, replication, backup, and security across multi-enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will define strategic storage directions, design enterprise solutions, and maintain 24/7 uptime while leveraging private and Gov Cloud/hybrid cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or other relevant discipline.
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Significant, direct experience with Dell EMC products OneFS, MDS SAN switches, Unity, Isilon, VNS, and Data Domain, and RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based storage arrays supporting a large federal agency.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environments, and plans capacity and utilization.
• Produces standards for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, and security.
• Troubleshoots complex SAN issues and coordinates with internal and external customers.
• Maintains 24/7/365 uptime and documents technical roadmaps and cost models.
• Architects and maintains private cloud/hybrid cloud environments, with Gov Cloud experience desired.
