Job summary

CGS Federal is hiring a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and implement a full-scale SAN architecture for a large EMC-based environment supporting a federal agency.

The role requires deep Dell EMC experience, backup expertise, and the ability to deliver formal standards, processes, and documentation. Hybrid cloud familiarity and GovCloud exposure are desirable, with 24/7 uptime responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or other relevant discipline.
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Must have significant, direct experience with Dell EMC products: OneFS (OneFile System), MDS SAN switches, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain, and RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SAN infrastructure.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environment.
• Designs enterprise storage solutions and deploys them in the environment.
• Provides storage capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Produces standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, security, and DR.
